We’re excited to announce our Call for Volunteers for upcoming opportunities that will help shape the future of STEM societies. As a volunteer, you’ll gain valuable experience, grow your professional network, and contribute directly to advancing the STEM association industry. We are seeking CESSE members to serve on various committees and working groups.

Whether you’re a seasoned professional or new to association leadership, we have a role that matches your skills and interests!

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

CEO Meeting 2026 Co-Chair: Open to CESSE CEO Members - Lead planning for CEO Meeting education and special events. This will involve working with volunteer conveners, identifying topics, supporting conveners in the development of individual sessions. Will need to attend 4-6 virtual meetings between October through January. CEO Meeting 2026 Co-Chairs are expected to attend CEO Meeting 2026.
CEO Meeting 2025 Session Convener: Open to CESSE CEO Members - Develop individual sessions for 2025 CEO Meeting. Duties include identifying speakers, ensuring sessions run smoothly. Will need to attend 2-3 virtual meetings leading up to 2025 CEO Meeting and respond to email communications. CEO Meeting 2025 Session Conveners are expected to attend CEO Meeting 2025.
ACCESSE25 Program Committee: Develop educational sessions and networking opportunities for ACCESSE25 as well as be an ambassador for the event. Will need to attend virtual meetings approximately once per month from January through June, as well as attend ACCESSE event.
Nominating Committee: Identify and evaluate candidates for CESSE Board of Directors. Committee to compile a diverse slate of recommendations and communicate relevant information to the membership. Meets virtually 3-4 times between March and May.
Special Interest Group (SIG) Opportunities: Education & Training; Finance, HR & Administration; Meetings & Exhibits; and Membership & Marketing.
Ad Hoc Task Force: As need arises throughout the year be available for short, task specific projects.
Webinar Working Group: Meets quarterly or as needed, responsible for curating content for CESSE webinars.
